After 25 years in Corporate America as an Information Technology professional, Ed parlayed his long-time woodworking hobby into a profitable custom furniture and cabinetry business which he owned and operated for seven years.
Due to his rapid success with his first business, other business owners sought Ed’s advice in regards to planning, starting and marketing their business, which eventually lead him to developing a full-time business coaching practice.
Today Mr. McDonough is the owner of ECE Marketing Services in Walpole, MA and the President of the National Business Startup Academy. He is a Certified Professional Coach and a certified Productivity Coach through the National Association of Productivity Coaches.
He has been marketing and selling products and services via the internet since 2002 and he currently provides worldwide training to entrepreneurs interested in starting and growing their business.
As author of the book, The Complete Internet Marketing Strategy Guide, Ed works with North American businesses to help them grow, increase revenue and expand their client base through effective online marketing strategies.
Active in the local community, he is on the Board of Directors for the Walpole High School Alumni Association and Friends of St. Patrick in Walpole, MA. Since 2013 he has been on the Executive Board of Directors of the United Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a supporter of other local community based organizations and events.
Ed is a former faculty member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute of Organization Management and teaches business startup and marketing workshops in person throughout the New England area and virtually through webinars worldwide.
Ed is an accomplished speaker and regularly facilitates business seminars within the Massachusetts and Rhode Island business community. He has been a guest on the cable television business program Process for Profit: Steps to Business Success, the Mind Your Own Business radio show, WRNI – Rhode Island’s National Public Radio business program and WDIS Talk Radio.
